Family Prayers & Precepts

Grace before Meals
Bless us, O Lord, and these Your gifts
which we are about to receive from Your goodness
through Christ Our Lord.  Amen.

Grace after Meals
We give You thanks, Almighty God, for all Your benefits
who lives and reigns, world without end.  Amen.

Holy Souls prayer

Eternal Rest grant unto them oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen

Precepts of the Church
1.    Participate at Mass on Sundays and Holydays of Obligation.
2.    Go to Confession at least once a year.
3.    Receive Communion at least once a year during the Easter season.
4.    Observe the prescribed days of fasting and abstinence.
5.    Provide for the material needs of the Church.
6.    Observe the laws of the Church concerning Marriage.
