Religious Education Registration
Dear PREP Families,
Hope your summer is going well. It has been great seeing many of you at Holy Mass on Sundays. I want to get the word out to all of you as I know you are getting your schedules ready for the new school year. After meeting with my catechetical team and Father Idler, this year we will be moving religious education back to Sundays. It will be from 11:45 to 1:15PM. This is the approximate time the former 12:15PM Mass would have been getting done.
There are many reasons for making this change. I surveyed you all and found this to be a good time for many of you. This was the schedule we had previous to COVID and now with the Mass time changes we will once again be able to have it on Sunday.
As we work on the new parish hall there will be more events throughout the year for families during the week. Each month students and families will need to participate in at least one parish activity outside of Mass and class. Disciple level on up can participate in the planning and preparation for service hours. This could be attending Adoration on Thursday as a family, the Blessed Mother's birthday, the Fatima processions on the 12th of the month, the feast day of the parish and other events which will be posted and sent out throughout the year.
Any weekend which is followed by is a legal holiday, 10/8, 11/26, 12/24, 12/31, 1/14/24, 2/18/24, 3/31/24, 4/7/24 we will not have class. Classes are scheduled to start on Sunday September 24 at 11:45AM and they will end on Sunday May 19, 2024. Please let me know if there are any special situations or a scheduling conflict for your student.
Due to the increase in book prices and materials PREP registration cost this year will be $75 per student. Please note there is a payment plan if necessary and if there are financial hardships, scholarships are available please speak with Mrs. Serra. Please fill out the registration form and return it as soon as possible since I need to order textbooks and get classrooms set up. As always if anyone wishes to volunteer your talents in any way, please let me know. Stay safe and remember to say your prayers!
Here are the links to the forms to be completed and signed prior to the start of class. Packets with these forms will be available in the foyer of the church. Please read and complete each form carefully, keep the Code of Conduct pages for your records and return the receipt of the Code of Conduct, Media Consent and Registration and tuition forms to the office or place in collection basket.
